HARRY GREENE
saxophonist - guitarist - arranger - composer
Harry’s experience at the Royal Academy of Music and as a pupil and guest residential course leader at the centre of music excellence, Aldeburgh Young Musicians, allows him to share his musical knowledge.
One-to-one lessons
Depending on personal preference, I can offer tutoring on saxophone, clarinet, guitar and bass either in person (having full DBS clearance) or by Skype.
Prices depend on frequency, locality, musical ability and ambition although I am competitively priced.
Workshop education
I have co-led week-long residencies at Aldeburgh Young Musicians, a musical Centre of Excellence at Snape Maltings. These have involved coaching large groups of mixed age and ability pupils, focusing on developing their improvisational and ensemble playing skills. These courses have culminated in hour-long performances, where the students have performed material from memory they have composed themselves throughout the week.
“Harry Greene is an outstanding musician, collaborator and educator. His creative approach to music making has led to him being a consistent top choice when selecting musicians to work with our Aldeburgh Young Musicians. As an alumnus of Aldeburgh Young Musicians, when he returns now as a professional to work alongside the aspiring young musicians, they find him approachable, inspirational and fun.”
“Harry is a rare example of someone who possesses exceptional talent and musicality as well as a warm and friendly personality with a strong commitment to his work.”
Stacey Kurtz Campkin - Head of Aldeburgh Young Musicians
“Everyone has had the time of their lives this week, with almost everyone saying it's the best musical experience they've ever had….they have really shown us the potential we all have!”
Connor Hargreaves – AYM student
“Harry’s enthusiasm is infectious…he’ll always go the extra mile. There is a good reason why he is creating quite a stir in the music business.”
Simon Bates – Professor of Saxophone, Royal Marines School of Music
